Prevent Summer Learning Loss
Summer break is a time for relaxation, vacations, and fun. However, for many students, it also leads to what educators call the “summer slide”—a significant learning loss that occurs when academic skills are not practiced during the break. Research suggests that students can lose up to two months’ worth of reading and math skills over the summer, making it harder to catch up when school resumes.
