Homeschooling Support to Bridge the Gaps

If you are homeschooling your child, our services can supplement your teaching by offering specialized instruction to address a particular learning difference or providing support for students in different subject areas, such as biology, algebra, reading, or remedial literacy support.

RITES highly trained teachers provide homeschooling academic instruction during the school day for students ages 6-18 who require an alternative learning environment. We offer a range of subjects, from a weekly one-hour tutorial to a few hours of weekly instruction.

RITES teachers provide the following services:

Curriculum designed to meet the individual learning needs and interests of each student

  • Academic instruction aligned with Common Core standards
  • Academic instruction that meets goals and accommodations listed in a student’s IEP
  • Individualized instruction in academic subjects
  • Instruction with specific intervention methods, such as Orton-Gillingham, Wilson, Lindamood-Bell, Project Read, and more
  • Integration of technology into instruction
  • Incorporation of hands-on activities designed to improve focus
  • Progress reports and meetings with parents to discuss student progress
  • Collaboration with public school personnel to facilitate transition back to school
  • Consultation/collaboration with other service providers who work with the child

Testimonials: Much Needed Support

In such a short period of time, he has blossomed. Even though he has trouble focusing, you were able to teach him anyway. His RITES teachers are so kind to him. He can’t wait to come here. It has been so comforting to find the right place to help him. Before coming here, he had given up. This experience has ‘lightened’ our house.

— Carey B., parent of RITES student

I'm so excited. It's so hard as a single parent fighting for my children's education, and to get them the help they need through the school system seems impossible. So, to have to branch out from the system and pay to get them the academic help they need is definitely a challenge on an extremely low budget. So thank you so very, very much. I'm literally in tears. What a blessing.
